Oakwell Private Wealth Management Financial Planner Opportunity
Oakwell Private Wealth Management is a financial planning firm based in Austin, TX and we are seeking a Financial Planner to join our team. At Oakwell, we pride ourselves on building relationships with our clients through education, integrity, collaboration, and commitment. We provide comprehensive, client-centered financial planning and investment management services. Our mission is to help clients navigate complex financial decisions with confidence.
Salary and Benefits
- Base salary $90K-120K, plus quarterly bonus plan based on firm revenue
- Paid professional dues, continuing education, conferences, and training
- Fully remote position (with the expectation to travel to the Austin office 5-10x / year)
- Firm pays 75% of health care cost for employee

Responsibilities
Design and implement detailed financial planning solutions focused on retirement, investments, cash flow planning, multi-year tax planning, asset protection and estate planning.Prepare in-depth financial analysis for clients that consider their specific preferences, values, goals, and priorities with a vision to accomplish the client's personal and financial goals.Coordinate with outside professionals to implement financial planning on behalf of clients and ensure the highest level of service.Integrate investment solutions with our Investment Team through coordination of asset allocation, cash needs, charitable giving, and impact goals.Coordinate with Client Service TeamCommit to a culture that supports continuing education and team developmentParticipate in vetting new technology for the firmDevelop and implement financial planning systems and processesCoordinate with six advisors to develop personalized financial plans for a range of clienteleQualifications
5 years plus experience in wealth management / financial planningCFP designation required.Experience with complex financial plans including equity compensation, tax planning, and estate strategiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrating professionalismDetail oriented and ability to manage your own time wellSelf-starter with a commitment to ongoing learningAbility to travel 5-10 times per year to Austin, TX for internal meetings and occasional client meetingsExperience with our custodian and software is not required, but will be a plus : Wealthbox, Orion, ALX, Money Guide Pro, Holistiplan, Income Lab, SharefileThe Process
Qualified candidates will start the process by having a 15- to 30-minute zoom interview conducted by our consultant (the hiring manager for this position). If there is ground to move forward, you will be asked to fill out a Career History Form and if you are selected to advance in the process, you will meet with the firm. Qualified candidates will be asked to take assessments.
