Audit Staff Accountant

Responsibilities :

• Works on engagements to include financial statement audits reviews compilations agreed-upon procedures and other process as assigned by audit supervisors / managers
• Performs detailed audit procedures on financial statement account balances and prepares effective and clear work papers
• Develops an understanding of the accounting and auditing principles relevant to individual client engagements
• Participates in engagement planning process
• Anticipates problem areas of engagement and questions that will arise
• Assists with complicated segments of audit and accounting engagements
• Proficient in preparing financial statements using the firms software programs
• Communicates to supervisor all important developments on engagement and analyzes problems and recommends solution
• Maintains general knowledge of economic and political trends of possible tax or other legislation that could affect business client
