The Family Practice - Without OB Physician is responsible for providing comprehensive neonatal care, including attending deliveries and stabilizing sick newborns. This role involves working in a Level 3 NICU and ensuring high-quality patient care during scheduled 24-hour and 16-hour shifts. The physician must have a current VA License, DEA, and NRP certification, along with experience in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization.

• 24-hour in-house shifts with rest opportunities (may split into two 12-hour shifts if necessary).
• 16-hour weekday shifts (Mon-Fri) and 24-hour weekend shifts (Sat-Sun).
• Independently attend deliveries, resuscitate, and stabilize sick newborns.
• Admissions
• Level 3 NICU patients, including vented patients (jet ventilators).
• Coordinate transfers for therapeutic hypothermia, cardiac or surgical needs, specialist evaluations, or severe pulmonary hypertension.
• Round with a physician daily; complete notes for co-signing.
• Ensure high-quality care for NICU (current census : 4-8, max 20) and well-baby units (census : 8-14).
• Current VA License, DEA, and NRP certification.
• Experience in neonatal care, resuscitation, and stabilization is required; new graduates will not be considered.
