Manager Of It

Reporting to the Director of IT, the Manager of IT brings technology to the forefront of enterprise users by providing solutions that enable team members to perform daily activities in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The Manager of IT is the service management subject matter expert, leading and enhancing the service through continuous improvement activities. In addition, this position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of level 1 and 2 technology support functions for the enterprise and all IT related Projects.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning reviewing and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Makes hiring decisions and designs individual development plans with succession planning in mind for all key roles.

Core Job Responsibilities :

  • Manages technical resources to meet business demands and drive efficiencies within the department by creating and fine-tuning processes and procedures.
  • Maintains and improves service quality, measuring customer satisfaction and working with the customer to produce realistic service improvement programs.
  • Develops, maintains, and applies standards ensuring all end user services are addressed in a timely manner and user needs are met through adherence to agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Responsible for onboarding / offboarding, asset management leveraging a centralized database and leading the training program for all team members.
  • Manages team activities to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled by identifying opportunities that focus on customer service performance.
  • Provides recurring leadership level reporting to manage against key performance indicators.
  • Manages relationships with vendors, consultants, and professional associations to stay up to date with existing and evolving industry standards and technologies.
  • Manages password and identity management systems to comply with all regulatory requirements while enabling a mobile workforce.
  • Implements continuous process improvement initiatives to develop strategies that lead to the resolution of client calls in a more efficient and effective manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and assumes other responsibilities, duties, tasks, and assignments that contribute to the mitigation or response to any public health emergency.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field is required; commensurate experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Information Technology in the Gaming Industry.
  • Equivalent combination of education and progressive, relevant, and direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational / experience requirements indicated above.
  • Certifications such as Project Management Professional, ITIL, Business Analyst Professional and / or application-specific accreditations desirable when combined with relevant experience.
  • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication and project management skills a must.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of IT service management practices and principles, including Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT), and IT Service Management (ITSM).
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication.
  • Strong technical verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify terminology that a non-technical end-user and / or senior executive can understand.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical professionals, and a basic understanding of software architecture.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in creating and implementing policy and procedures.
  • Position is required to obtain and maintain a gaming license with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB).
  • Physical Demands :

  • Work is performed in an office setting.
  • Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
  • May be exposed to smoke.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Constant contact with executives, department management, employees, and guests.
  • Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility.
  • Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and / or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Eye / hand coordination.
  • Use of standard office equipment.
  • Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
