Job Title : Laboratory Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and efficient Laboratory Technician to join our team at a central hospital lab. The technician will be responsible for handling a variety of specimens, including blood, saliva, urine, and stool, ensuring they are processed safely and efficiently. This role involves reviewing specimen packages for completeness, routing and delivering them to the appropriate lab destinations, and maintaining a high standard of data entry and organization.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ASCP Certification is preferred.
• Strong work ethic with motivation to meet performance metrics.
• CLINICAL LAB EXPERIENCE (academic or industry)

Work Environment

The position is based in a large, fast-paced hospital lab, central to all inpatient samples for the hospital. The lab environment is high-throughput, with a variety of tests and samples processed daily. The initial contract duration is 3 months, with potential extensions based on business needs and performance. Opportunities for direct employment may arise, though not guaranteed. The role involves working in a supportive team environment with potential for growth and movement into different departments.

This is a Contract position based out of Eugene, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00 / hr.
