Our client, a leading healthcare provider in the Texas Medical Center, is seeking experienced Heart Failure ICU Nurse Practitioners to join a collaborative and high-acuity critical care team.

Requirements :

  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Texas.
  • Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) is required.
  • 23 years of RN or NP experience in Critical Care ICU or Cardiac Care required; experience with LVADs and ECMO preferred.
  • New graduate NPs must have 23 years of Critical Care RN experience with transplant, CV recovery, or advanced heart failure populations.
  • Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required; additional certifications such as PALS or NRP are a plus.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and implement care plans, and manage treatment for patients throughout the disease process.
  • Perform advanced procedures such as central and arterial line placement, pulmonary artery catheter insertion, lumbar puncture, intubation, thoracentesis, and chest tube removal (as credentialed).
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in patient and family education, process improvement initiatives, and clinical research as needed.
  • Maintain documentation, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote safety and efficiency in care delivery.
