NICU Quality & Safety Nurse - Patient Safety

About the Job :

The NICU Quality & Safety Nurse will lead patient safety and quality of care efforts while striving to create and maintain a culture of safety within the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Utilizing the principles of process improvement and change management, the NICU Quality & Safety Nurse will partner with department leaders to facilitate the implementation of evidence-based and regulatory standards of nursing and clinical practice, leading various large and small-scale quality improvement and health system projects with end-to-end ownership.

What You'll Do :

• Facilitate and organize the NICU team to ensure the highest level of care is delivered to patients and families within the NICU.

Responsible for supporting the department and the organization in attainment of goals including improvement of quality outcomes for all patients, creation of efficient systems of care, and delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Track occurrences and other indicators appropriately in EZ-Track. Complete these tasks in a timely manner.

Serve as a subject matter expert on the regulatory, risk management, process improvement and patient safety requirements related to clinical nursing care as processes are improved or changed.
