• Job Description
• The Graphic Designer I, under general supervision, supports graphic design and photography projects for marketing and communications needs, including designing promotional materials for the university and editing graphics / photos for use in multimedia, web sites, and other purposes.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any US employer. The department is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
• Responsibilities :
• Designs promotional brochures, posters, digital signage, newsletters, graphic marks, and other printed materials for use in the recruitment and retention of students as well as advertising and marketing initiatives for the university.
• Designs effective and accessible graphic interfaces for web sites, pages and applications.
• Creates motion graphics for use on web sites and multi-media presentations as needed.
• Maintains documentation for each project including approvals, comments, drafts and artwork.
• Collaborates with university customers as needed from concept to creation to customer support.
• Acts as a technical resource in the area of graphics and publication design software, hardware and techniques.
• Works with the university’s digital signage software

• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
• Education and Experience :
• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphics Design, Fine Arts, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Salary :
• $43,888
• Hours :
• Monday - Friday; 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm with some evenings and weekends as needed.
• Supervision of Others :
• The position generally does not supervise employees.
• Work Location :
• This is not a remote position. The selected candidate will be required to work on campus.
