PACO Group is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Specialist to join our project team supporting construction management operations for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey. This individual will play a critical role in documenting construction progress through site visits, photography, videography, graphic tracking reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
The Senior Technical Specialist will prepare graphic tracking reports illustrating schedule and financial progress, generate SIM visualization models for complex contracts, assist in BIM integration, and provide technical support for presentations. The role includes coordinating with Port Authority staff across multiple offices, ensuring accurate representation of project progress, and supporting the Construction Management Division in all visualization and reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare graphic tracking reports to illustrate construction progress, schedule adherence, and financial status.
Conduct site visits, photography, and videography for project documentation and presentations.
Generate SIM visualization models for contracts with complex geometry or technical issues.
Assist in the development and delivery of presentations for internal stakeholders and external agencies.
Support BIM integration within the Construction Management Division to coordinate schedule and cost information.
Coordinate with Port Authority staff, contractors, and consultants to ensure accurate reporting of project progress.
Provide technical analysis and recommendations based on project documentation and visual data.
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or related field from an accredited college or university required.
Minimum of 10 years of construction management-related experience in building and transportation projects.
Valid Driver's License required.
Ability to obtain high-level security clearances such as SWAC, SIDA at Airports, or TWIC at Ports.
OSHA 30 certification required.
Skills & Abilities
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and presentation development.
Strong analytical and technical skills with expertise in graphic reporting, visualization models, and BIM integration.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate with diverse teams, and maintain high-quality, accurate documentation.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in photography, videography, presentation software, and construction reporting tools.
