Join us! The GoFundMe team is searching for a Director, Corporate Communications to help shape and elevate GoFundMe's story as a mission-driven company committed to helping people help each other. In this role, you will lead the strategy and execution of high-impact corporate storytelling across earned media and executive thought leadership.

This is a highly cross-functional role that reports to the VP, Communications and collaborates closely with GoFundMe executives and teams across the company.

The Job

• Lead Corporate Communications Strategy : Develop and execute an integrated corporate communications strategy that aligns with company goals and positions GoFundMe as the world leader in online giving.
• Drive Executive Thought Leadership : Secure, prep, and staff high-impact interviews, speaking engagements, and social media amplification for C-suite leaders. Experience working with prominent tech conferences strongly preferred.
• Secure Top-Tier Earned Media : Identify and drive media opportunities that highlight GoFundMe's innovation, leadership, and mission-driven impact. Build relationships with top-tier reporters and editors covering tech, business, philanthropy, and social impact, and identify powerful new avenues for storytelling.
• Steer Company Awards & Recognition : Drive the strategy for tech and business award submissions, enhancing GoFundMe's visibility and credibility among peers, partners, and press.
• Craft Messaging for Company Milestones : Lead comms planning for product launches, corporate announcements, executive hires, and other high-visibility moments.
• Lead Brand Crisis and Issues Management : Act as a key steward of GoFundMe's corporate reputation, driving our rapid response messaging to ensure transparency in high-stakes or time-sensitive situations.
• Collaborate Across Teams : Partner closely with teams across Global Go To Market, Product, Legal, Trust & Safety, Policy, and GoFundMe.org to ensure message consistency and alignment in both proactive and reactive communications.

The total annual base salary for this full-time position is $145,000 - $217,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. As this is a remote position, the salary range was determined by role, level, and possible location across the US. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
