Job Title : Chief Propulsion Design Engineer

Job Summary : PrideStaff Atlanta North is seeking an experienced and innovative Chief Propulsion Design Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and optimization of jet propulsion systems for high-performance aircraft engines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, extensive experience in propulsion systems, and a passion for advancing aerospace technology.

Key Responsibilities :

Design Leadership : Lead the design and development of jet propulsion engines, components, and systems, ensuring compliance with performance and safety standards.

Project Management : Oversee propulsion-related projects from concept through testing, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals and budgets.

Testing and Validation : Develop and execute test plans, analyze test data, and prepare comprehensive reports for design validation and certification.

Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (design, manufacturing, quality assurance) to integrate propulsion systems into aircraft platforms.

Mentorship : Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements and technology advancements to develop next-generation propulsion systems.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.

10+ years of experience in jet propulsion engineering or a related aerospace field, with a proven track record of successful projects.

Strong expertise in propulsion system design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and / or aerospace materials.

Procedural knowledge and skill in implementing, maintaining, or being audited against International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.

Strong leadership and project management abilities, with effective communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
