Hematology / Oncology Physician Job Details

Location : Minneapolis, MN (55407) – Explore Minnesota healthcare jobs in the heart of the Twin Cities, close to parks, restaurants, and cultural attractions.

Employment Type : Locum Tenens Physician (travel contract)

Start Date : January 12, 2026

End Date : April 13, 2026 (13-week contract, with possible extension)

Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM (day shifts), plus on-call coverage as needed

Hours per Week : 40

Practice Setting : Hospital and Infusion Center

Support Staff : Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support during daytime inpatient shifts

Patient Volume : 30–40 patients per day

EMR : Epic

Hospital Bed Size : 590

Providers float between multiple hospital and clinic locations

Estimated weekly salary : $13,850 - $14,840

Physician Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in Hematology / Oncology

Board Certified in Hematology / Oncology

Active Minnesota medical license (IMLC accepted)

DEA certification

BLS certification

Eligible for emergency privileges with a clean background

Key Responsibilities

Provide inpatient coverage for malignant hematology cases

Deliver medical oncology care for solid tumors and infusion center patients

Participate in scheduled day shifts and on-call coverage

Collaborate with APPs and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care

Float between designated hospital and clinic locations as required

Utilize Epic EMR for clinical documentation and patient management
