About the Role :
We are seeking a driven and analytical District Parts Manager (DPM) to lead and support parts operations across a designated territory. The DPM will play a critical role in driving revenue growth , optimizing inventory accuracy , and improving inventory turnover at the dealership or distributor level.
This role requires strong business acumen, a deep understanding of parts operations, and the ability to coach and influence teams to adopt best practices that enhance customer satisfaction and bottom-line performance.
Key Responsibilities :
Revenue Growth & Sales Enablement
- Partner with dealerships / distributors to grow parts sales through targeted programs, promotions, and upselling initiatives.
- Analyze sales trends and customer demand to identify growth opportunities by product line or market segment.
- Support the rollout of national or regional parts campaigns and ensure local execution.
Inventory Management & Accuracy
Work with dealer and distributor parts departments to improve inventory accuracy through regular audits and system compliance.Monitor key inventory metrics such as stock-outs, excess inventory, and order fill rates.Ensure adherence to inventory management best practices, including cycle counting, bin accuracy, and obsolete inventory reduction.Inventory Turn Optimization
Guide parts operations toward achieving optimal inventory turnover targets without sacrificing customer service levels.Analyze historical and forecasted demand data to recommend stocking levels and ordering patterns.Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to streamline replenishment processes.Dealer & Distributor Engagement
Conduct regular onsite visits and virtual check-ins to assess parts performance, coach staff, and support local execution of strategic initiatives.Provide tools and training to improve dealer parts operations and profitability.Serve as a liaison between corporate parts operations and field partners, ensuring alignment and execution of national strategies.Reporting & Analytics
Provide monthly reporting on parts revenue performance, inventory health, and key operational KPIs.Identify underperforming locations and develop corrective action plans.Required Qualifications :
5+ years of experience in parts management, supply chain, or aftermarket operations.Strong understanding of inventory control, parts sales strategies, and warehouse operations.Proven track record of driving revenue and improving inventory efficiency.Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds) and MS Excel.Ability to travel within the assigned district (up to 50%).Preferred Qualifications :
Experience supporting or managing dealership or distributor networks.Material Handling or like equipment industry experience.Familiarity with inventory optimization tools and demand planning software.Benefits :
