Job Summary :

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) plays a key role in delivering quality patient care by performing phlebotomy and specimen preparation tasks. As the front-line representative of a leading diagnostic information services provider, the PSR II ensures accurate, safe, and compassionate interactions with patients. This role involves direct patient contact, quality specimen collection, and compliance with healthcare protocols in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection following safety and clinical guidelines
  • Verify patient identity and label specimens accurately in the patient’s presence
  • Maintain documentation and records in accordance with healthcare regulations
  • Deliver exceptional service to pediatric, geriatric, and general patient populations
  • Promote a clean, safe, and professional clinical environment
  • Travel to cover multiple patient services or in-office phlebotomy locations as needed
  • Exhibit leadership behaviors, confidentiality, and a strong commitment to accuracy
  • Adhere to all policies, including dress code, health & safety, and company procedures

Required Experience :

  • years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
  • years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
  • Prior customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service setting
  • Experience with data entry and basic computer systems
  • years of dedicated pediatric phlebotomy experience required
  • Nice-to-Have Experience :

  • Experience with paramedic or medical assistant training
  • Previous work in high-volume healthcare settings
  • Required Skills :

  • Excellent phlebotomy technique (especially pediatric and geriatric)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
  • Preferred Skills :

  • Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA)
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training background
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
  • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
  • Additional Skills :

  • Comfort with travel and flexible scheduling (including weekends and holidays)
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain quality standards
  • Superior communication and adaptability to change
  • Knowledge of diagnostic lab operations
