About the Role :

The  Special Projects Group  of KPFF is growing and looking for an ambitious and initiative-driven  Structural Engineer  to strengthen our dynamic team in  Tacoma WA . You will be on Ruston Way with a view of Commencement Bay in Tacoma WA working on a diverse range of waterfront and industrial infrastructure projects. As a key member of our team youll use your existing expertise in waterfront infrastructure but also dive deep into the realms of design project management and delivering unparalleled client service. What Youll Be Doing :

Structural Design and Development :

• Apply your engineering expertise to diverse projects collaborating with teams to devise innovative solutions drawing on best practices in areas such as pile design bulkhead wall prestressed concrete and seismic design for Port developments marine engineering ferry and cruise terminals shipyards fish & wildlife facilities marinas and floating structures.
• Contribute to projects involving waterfront infrastructure and industrial developments leveraging your skills to drive successful outcomes in these specialized areas.
• Learn to assess risks and develop mitigation strategies to contribute to project success.
• Gain experience in ensuring regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle including understanding regulations and permitting requirements.
• Enhance your skills in identifying and overcoming challenges through innovative problem-solving approaches utilizing both traditional and modern engineering techniques.

Compensation :

The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidates experience education and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate with 15 years of experience is $150000-$230000. Additionally we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center. During the interview process well provide detailed information and address any questions you may have about the overall compensation package and benefits.
