Tool Room Machinist

This position is for a Tool Room Machinist in a job shop setting, specializing in the construction and repair of molds and dies primarily for the plastic injection molding industry.

Responsibilities :

  • Build molds and dies for the plastic injection molding industry.
  • Repair and refurbish dies from customers.
  • Operate various equipment including CNC, manual machines, and wire-EDM.
  • Operate mills and lathes.
  • Perform manual machining using surface grinders and Bridgeport mills.
  • Conduct programming on CNC machines via CAD software and conversational programming.
  • Drill holes into rough raw steel.
  • Work with 3-axis machines.

Essential Skills :

  • Machining expertise in toolroom and die repair.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Tool & Die or equivalent experience.
  • Previous CNC experience in a job shop.
  • Previous experience working with a Bridgeport mill.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications :

  • Wire EDM experience is beneficial.

    Work Environment :

    The work environment is non-climate controlled, requiring safety glasses. The position is for the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 6 AM to 5 : 30 PM, with flexibility for overtime if desired.

    Pay and Benefits :

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
