This position will report to our Nashville office.

This position will pay $90,100 - $104,100.

SUMMARY :

The Administrator, Database is responsible for the database component of the delivery of business-critical software applications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements.

  • Creates and maintains database, table structures and triggers for application software. Tunes databases to achieve maximum performance.
  • Repairs problems in databases used in application software.
  • Reviews and tests application software and makes suggestions for improvement. Collaborates intensely with hardware, network and applications administrators and developers.
  • Conducts troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving for database performance and stability issues.
  • Creates policies and procedures for database access and usage and database replication and backup. Overall responsible for data security and integrity in assigned databases.
  • Ensures data governance, security compliance, and best practices within hybrid multi-cloud infrastructures (Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and private data centers).
  • Manages problem and request tickets for assigned technology.
  • Ensures availability of supported technology.
  • Domestic . travel may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
  • Two years of experience with Oracle and MSSQL database administration is required. Additional years of related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis up to two years.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
