About The Role :
Intelliguard has an excellent opportunity for a QA Engineer to join our team in our Columbus, OH office reporting to Director of Quality Assurance. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our embedded and enterprise systems. In this role, you will manually test software that integrates with hardware devices, supporting critical functions in healthcare environments. What You'll Be Doing :
- Write and execute manual test cases for embedded and enterprise software solutions.
- Perform black-box and exploratory testing to validate the functionality and reliability of software-hardware integration.
- Perform regression testing after code changes to ensure no new defects are introduced.
- Investigate, document, and report defects in Jira with detailed reproduction steps.
- Work closely with development teams to resolve issues, verify fixes, and ensure all defects are addressed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and acceptance criteria.
- Identify gaps in testing coverage and propose improvements to processes and methodologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
We Would Love To Hear From You, If :
3+ years of previous experience in software testing, preferably in hardware-software systems or regulated industries.Alternatively, a diverse professional background in healthcare, science, or technology paired with relevant testing experience.Strong proficiency in writing clear and concise test cases.Experience using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Azure, or similar).Familiarity with testing against acceptance criteria, and ability to think creatively to find edge casesExceptional analytical and communication skills.Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to work independently.Preferred Qualifications :Experience in the medical device industry or knowledge of IEC 62304 regulatory standards.
Familiarity with testing software integrated with hardware devices or embedded systems.Basic understanding of scripting or programming concepts (helpful but not required).Understanding of testing methodologies and working in an Agile environmentStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Experience with Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, and Visual Studio is a bonus.Why You Should Join Us :
