Fluidra is looking for a CNC Programmer / Machinist to join our team inPhoenix, AZ.
The CNC Programmer will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining VMC 3 & 4th Axis, Swiss Type Machining, and CNC multi-spindle lathes with live tooling to produce high-precision components. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical expertise to meet rigorous quality and production standards in a fast-paced environment.
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
- Set up and operate VMC, Swiss, and CNC lathes in accordance with engineering drawings and work orders.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and programming instructions to ensure accurate machine settings and production processes.
- Monitor machine operations, perform routine inspections, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal machine performance.
- Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
- Maintain detailed production records, including machine logs, output data, and any deviations or issues encountered.
- Create standard work instructions to assist with the setup of new and existing programs.
- Choose appropriate tooling for machining operations with correct cutting parameters.
- Troubleshoot CNC programs and implement process improvements.
- Edit G-code manually and create custom post-processors for CAM programs to ensure optimal machine performance and accuracy.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with supervisors and quality control to ensure production goals and quality standards are consistently met.
WHAT WE SEEK
Trade school certification in Milling, Turning, and Swiss machining with a minimum of 2 years direct experience, or 4 years of direct experience operating CNC Milling, Turning, Swiss machining.Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Mastercam and SolidWorks.Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and CNC programming instructions.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Experience using precision measuring instruments to verify product quality.Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Good communication skills and commitment to safety.Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.Familiarity with Haas, Citizen, and DMG Mori Seki machines is a plus.WHAT WE OFFER
