Electrical Engineer / Designer

An established Ohio-based mechanical and electrical consulting engineering firm , with offices in North Royalton and Columbus and a history dating back to 1993, is seeking a talented and experienced full-time Electrical Engineer or Electrical Designer . This position is key to supporting our continued growth and expansion.

The role will initially be titled Electrical Engineer / Designer with strong potential for career progression into a Project Manager or Project Engineer over time.

Key Responsibilities

As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for :

• Executing electrical design for a diverse range of project types, including commercial, office, retail, healthcare , and others.
• Applying design expertise in areas like power distribution, grounding, lighting, control systems , and equipment selection and specification.
• Preparing schematics for various electrical systems.
• Collaborating with all disciplines (mechanical, structural, civil, etc.) to ensure a completed, fully coordinated design and reviewing the work of other team members.
• Conducting on-site investigations to accurately confirm existing conditions.
• Developing and maintaining familiarity with current electrical codes and standards .
• Building professional relationships with same-level personnel from other disciplines and manufacturing sales representatives.
• Preparing and becoming familiar with both general and electrical specifications .
