Attain Capital is seeking a dynamic and results oriented Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead one of its portfolio companies (Phoenix) through its next phase of accelerated growth and transformation. The CEO will serve as the strategic architect of the company’s long-term plan, driving strong financial performance, operational excellence, and a thriving, high-performance culture.
The ideal candidate is a values-based, strategic, and entrepreneurial leader with industry expertise in the federal healthcare market. With a proven record of scaling businesses, elevating company cultures, and creating enterprise value, the CEO will offer a visionary and hands‑on leadership approach, balancing disciplined execution with innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Differentiation
Develop and execute a multi-year strategy to scale and differentiate Phoenix in the market.
Conduct market and competitive analyses to identify opportunities for expansion and innovation.
Establish clear strategic priorities, performance metrics, and an effective business dashboard for ongoing visibility.
Financial Performance & Value Creation
Lead the company to achieve significant top‑line growth—from approximately $75M to $200M+—through organic initiatives and targeted acquisitions.
Drive profitability and achieve sustainable EBITDA performance of at least 12%.
Ensure disciplined financial management and transparent communication with stakeholders.
Operational Excellence & Client Impact
Implement best‑in‑class operational practices that enhance client satisfaction, retention, and efficiency.
Leverage innovation to improve service delivery and expand client relationships.
Build a scalable infrastructure that supports sustainable, profitable growth.
Leadership & Organizational Development
Build and develop a high‑performing executive team aligned with strategic objectives.
Foster a culture grounded in accountability, professional development, and continuous improvement.
Implement structured talent management and hiring practices to attract and retain top performers.
Serve as a visible, authentic leader who embodies the company’s values.
Collaborate effectively with Attain Capital, the Board, and the leadership team to maintain alignment and transparency.
Represent the company externally through thought leadership, industry engagement, and community involvement.
Partnership with ACAP & the Board
Maintain proactive communication with ACAP and the Board regarding strategy, performance, and key initiatives.
Demonstrate deep understanding of private equity value creation and the financial levers driving returns.
Ensure operational readiness and strategic positioning for a successful exit event.
Qualifications
Proven track record of CEO or senior executive leadership driving significant growth and value creation in a private equity‑backed or high‑growth organization.
Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L of $75M+ and achieving meaningful EBITDA improvement.
Demonstrated success leading strategic growth initiatives, including M&A integration and operational scaling.
Exceptional leadership and team‑building skills with a reputation for accountability, transparency, and performance.
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
