IT Field Technician

Position Summary : IT Field Technician

The IT Field Technician is responsible for providing technology support services to several locations throughout Southern California. Primary responsibilities will include support and installation of phones, network, computer, and video equipment in each clinic, as well as providing end-user support. This is a mobile, hands-on position in which both your interpersonal and technical skills, standards for quality and eye for detail are key. As part of the larger IT team, you will participate in multiple projects, including opening new clinics, hardware and software upgrades, repairs, moves and others. As a team member, this position reports to the IT Director but is ultimately accountable to the dental office employees, whom we proudly serve. You will be assigned to a “base” of operation within the specific sector which you will be covering.

Position Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ prior experience in an enterprise support environment, including :

Installing, upgrading or troubleshooting PCs, VoIP phone systems, networking equipment

  • Providing general Windows Desktop end-user support.
  • Supporting hardware upgrades, OS patching, routers, switches, antivirus, coaxial cable equipment, video displays, videoconference equipment, security cameras, etc.
  • supporting Enterprise-type client-server custom applications.
  • Possess a valid California driver’s license as well as a clean driving record
  • Pass all pre-employment and background tests
  • A+ / Network+ and / or other such certification preferred
  • Microsoft Support Professional certification preferred
  • Dental or healthcare experience preferred
  • College degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and help others achieve goals in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
