Senior Process Engineer

Job Description

Broad Function and Purpose of Position :

To ensure Injection Mold production efficiency through process design and development, and direct production support.

Specific Responsibilities :

• Interact with the Quality and Tooling groups to resolve defects and mold issues.
• Experience with DSC, TMA, and data interpretation regarding incoming raw materials.
• Develop, design, and setup injection molding processes, systems work stations and automation equipment.
• Troubleshoot injection molding processes and hot runner manifold balancing.  Train lead people, setup people, and supervisors on injection molding processes.
• Interact with the Maintenance and technical groups to help troubleshoot injection systems, develop preventive maintenance programs. And develop spare parts identification and systems.
• Develop work instructions for injection molding processes and systems and conduct training as appropriate.
• Monitor and audit injection molding systems for any non-conformance with the process.
• Support efforts of the company such as continuous improvement teams, training, and production floor support.
• Efficient in documenting process trials with high level of detail and accuracy.
• PLC and frequency drive background a plus.
• Experience with molding PA type materials.
