About The Position
Job Title : Seasonal Physical Therapist

Experience : Minimum of one year of full-time acute care experience or two years of skilled nursing / inpatient rehab facility experience or two years of acute care experience in a part-time context.
License : Valid permanent license as a physical therapist from the state board or compact license as per regulations

Description :
The Seasonal Physical Therapist is responsible for the implementation of the physician's order for physical therapy services.
The Seasonal Physical Therapist provides all necessary aspects of physical therapy within an interdisciplinary environment.
This role aims to facilitate the return of the patient to as independent and safe a lifestyle as possible.
The Seasonal Physical Therapist must utilize a growth and development knowledge base in the care of patients across all age groups.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care.
Additionally, it is essential to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development.
The therapist must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status.
It is also necessary to interpret the information needed to identify each patient's age-specific requirements.
Proper care should be provided based on these requirements.
Schedule notes indicate work hours of Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, with one full weekend per month.
The position utilizes Epic charting and manages a patient volume of 7-9, primarily evaluations.
Physical therapists cover all acute care units and may float to surgical units as needed.
This role functions similar to a surgery center, classified as acute care.
Skills required include the ability to perform patient evaluations using appropriate functional tests and measures.
The therapist should demonstrate the ability to integrate objective measures along with social factors and medical stability.
Constructing short-term and long-term goals with appropriate frequency and duration is critical.
Critical thinking is necessary for patient evaluation and treatment planning.
Understanding of physical agent modalities, such as moist heat, is required.
The therapist must identify learning needs of patients or family members appropriately.
Collaboration as a team member is essential to assist patients and their families throughout the therapy care process.
