Job Summary

The Manager, Gift Shop and Retail Services ("Manager") under minimal supervision, directs and supervises all activites of hte giuft shop including but not limited to any branch entitiles within the DHHA Cammpaus. Direvelop, direct and supervise the retail services into profit centers.

Essential Functions :

• Inventory Management and Control
• Determine what is to be purchased and effectively sold in the gift shop(s) and were to purchase the items. Manage effectively the selection and ordering of merchandise as well as display for effective selling.
• Responsible for processing payments in a timely manner
• Insure the protection and control of assets. Perform duties according to accepted accounting practices. Follow procedures and insure adequate controls are in place to satisfy audit requirements. Maintain sound inventory control procedures to maximize sales and profitability.
• Must be flexible in working with other departments such as the Healthy Hospital Compact to ensure Denver Health is able to reach goals.
• Establish work practices to maximize sales and maintain internal controls. Utilize Lean techniques and problem solving skills to increase productivity, minimize waste and maximize operational effectiveness and efficiency
• Able to move inventory to and from warehouse located off site. Able to place orders online and then go to location and confirm the order and pay for it before the Denver Health truck arrives to pick up. An example would be the food and beverage order placed at Sam's.

Education :

Work Experience :

Five years of Retail Management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience of seven years required or

5 Years of Inventory Management experience AND 1 year of personnel supervisory experience required or

7 Years of Inventory and Sales Management experience required
