Essential Functions
Responsibilities :
Answer phone calls and provide exceptional customer service via customer service center / call center
Accurately enter patient demographics and perform data entry tasks.
Receive, sort, and process mail, emails, and faxes related to Release of Information (ROI) requests.
Identify request types and route to appropriate work queues for processing.
Review and validate medical records to ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH
Retrieve, assemble, and return patient information from electronic systems, archives, and paper files.
Monitor work queues, prioritize requests, and ensure timely and secure release of records.
Log, track, and verify requests for compliance and proper documentation.
Generate and follow up on correspondence and invoicing related to ROI requests.
Ensure minimum necessary information is released using correct format and delivery method.
Maintain proficiency in ROI systems and applications; assist in training new hires.
Conduct quality assurance reviews and report findings to management.
Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and internal policies related to protected health information.
Maintain regular attendance and adhere to all organizational policies and procedure
