Position Summary :
The client is seeking six bilingual (English / Spanish) Quality Inspectors (QC / QA Auditors) to ensure the quality and reliability of automotive transmissions. This role is ideal for candidates with 2–3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in quality assurance. The Quality Inspector will monitor production processes, identify and resolve quality issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality concerns.
Train staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices.
Administer training tests and track team member training status.
Conduct routine and non-routine inspections of transmission components and assemblies.
Identify and document defects, discrepancies, or non-conformities and work with production teams to resolve issues.
Ensure inspection procedures follow established guidelines.
Develop and implement quality control processes and standards.
Analyze inspection data and prepare detailed reports for management.
Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment.
Participate in root cause analysis and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
Lead Kaizen bursts to implement process improvements.
Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required.
2–3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in quality assurance.
Associate's degree or higher in a related field (Automotive Technology, Engineering Technology) preferred.
Desired Qualifications :
Experience with quality control tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Skill in identifying defects and deviations from specifications in mechanical parts.
Bilingual (English / Spanish) strongly preferred.
Computer skills, including spreadsheets.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and / or quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus.
Physical Requirements :
Lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
Stand, walk, and interact with people for extended periods.
Comfortable working on a factory floor with moderate to high noise levels.
