Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities)

  • Developing and implementing methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection.
  • Designing and installing sophisticated testing equipment to perform product testing and analysis.
  • Analyzing reports and defective products to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborating with supplier representatives to resolve quality problems and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.
  • Contributing to supplier quality improvement programs by identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to minimize defects and failure rates.
  • Reviewing and updating quality documentation, including control plans, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company quality standards.
  • Supporting internal and external audits by preparing documentation and addressing non-conformances.
  • Providing training to manufacturing and quality teams on best practices for quality assurance and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Degree required in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, process improvement techniques, and testing procedures.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Proficiency in using quality management systems (QMS) and statistical analysis tools.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and test reports.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other quality improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as ISO 9001, FDA regulations, or AS9100 is preferred.
  • Knowledge of software tools such as Minitab, SAP, or statistical process control (SPC) software is a plus.
  • Prior experience in supplier quality management is preferred.
