Project Surveyor

We are looking for a dedicated Project Surveyor to grow with our collaborative team and work on a variety of land development projects.

As a Project Surveyor, you will do the following :

  • Perform or oversee technical tasks to ensure all elements of the scope of work are completed, including field crew coordination, geodetic control network planning and design, control survey processing and adjustment, feature processing of topographic field data, LiDAR registration and feature extraction, generate, edit and QC Digital Terrain Models (DTM), title commitment review, public records research, COGO calculations, determination of Land and Right of Way boundaries, drafting of Land Survey Plats, ALTA Surveys, and Topographic Maps, write property descriptions, obtain permits and Right of Entry, ensure all QC plans are followed, and work with PM's to establish estimate of hours to complete each task.
  • Understand the project scope of work, goals and expectations of the client and PM
  • Provide input on project safety plans, ensure work activities are compliant, track schedules, project cost and time to complete for all tasks.
  • Work with the PM to prepare, monitor, and adjust the project quality plan.
  • Ensure that QA / QC activities have been completed prior to transmitting deliverables.

Here's what you'll need :

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in applicable field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in surveying.
  • Proven ability to complete all technical aspects of a surveying task.
  • Must have good social and communication skills.
  • Ability to pass drug screen and background checks.
  • Reputation as a trusted and respected member of the surveying community.
  • Ideally, you'll also have :
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation, OpenRoads Designer and TBC experience.
  • Professional Land Surveying License.
  • Experience with laser scanning.

    The base salary range for this position is $60,600.00 to $144,750.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
