Director of Business Development

The Director of Business Development will lead all Eagle sales activities within assigned market segment, to achieve sales objectives, maximize profitability goals and increase market share.

What You Will Do

  • Develop strategies, goals, provide analysis, and develop new business ventures
  • Build effective relationships with key decision-makers and initiate, quantify and develop new sales opportunities within assigned market segment
  • Develop business plan consistent with short and long-term objectives related to revenue goals and market share growth
  • Provide direction to ensure that the regional goals and objectives are aligned with Eagle business strategy
  • Ensure delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Review and assess individual sales performance within the team and mentor to improve individual sales performance and personal development and hire two sales representatives
  • Identify strategic opportunities and provide strategic direction based on knowledge of competitive strategy and understanding of customer needs
  • Ensures that national sales objectives are in line with corporate objectives
  • Assist in the preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Statements of Work (SOW) and drafting client contracts
  • Track client relationship within the company's CRM system and provide information for monthly, quarterly and annual revenue forecasts for client Book of Business
  • Participate in professional associations and informal networks to develop, build and sustain
  • Assist with related special projects, as required

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Two years with a proven track record in a sales leadership role
  • Five years of sales experience as a field representative
  • Proven ability to present and communicate effectively to small and large group settings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Excellent project management, presentation and training skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to work independently in a deadline oriented environment
  • Proven sales leadership skills
  • Advanced level computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Proven track record in the Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Medical Device or related industries, a plus
  • MBA, a plus
