Program Coordinator
Harborview Medical Center- Otolaryngology Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Program Coordinator. Work schedule is full-time, days (40 hours per week) Mondays - Fridays 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm. This is a six-month work assignment from the date of hire. Primary job responsibilities include developing, implementing, and overseeing the referral process for both internal and external referrals, serving as primary contact for new patients and referring clinics, completing full registration for patients new to UW Medicine, obtaining prior authorization from managed care plans as needed, obtaining all necessary medical records, imaging, diagnostic studies, pathology items, etc. needed for patient care, maintaining referral work queue and other databases for tracking referrals, scheduling complex appointments including, but not limited to, post-op and correctional facilities patients, working collaboratively with clinic leadership, clinic team members, and providers to ensure timely appointment of referrals, and coverage of reception desk during staffing shortages.
Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in a medically related or public relations field and two years of experience in a tertiary patient care setting involving interaction with a variety of medical services, contact with patients and families, interaction with physicians, and proficiency in medical terminology. Or an equivalent combination of education / experience.

Compensation, benefits and position details : Pay range minimum $47,724.00 annual, pay range maximum $68,244.00 annual.
