About the Department and / or College
With oversight from the Helen DeVitt Jones Curator of Art, the Intern for Outreach and Engagement coordinates engagement Signature Programs related to art on view in the galleries at the Museum at Texas Tech. This is a one-year appointment. The position is part-time and works as a team with a second part-time intern to accomplish the essential functions.
The Museum Art Division strives, with exhibitions and programs, to help participants build a lasting relationship with visual art. Programs take place during work hours and during evenings and weekends. This position serves and encourages teaching artists and program participants.
Major / Essential Functions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Skills in verbal and written communication, project management, photography, and customer service. Ability to use Microsoft SharePoint, Planner, and PowerPoint in Office 365. Ability to use Survey Monkey, Canva and / or Photoshop is also helpful.
Required Qualifications
High school graduation or equivalent. No experience required.
