This job presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a group of talented professionals dedicated to delivering unique embedded hardware solutions across multiple technical domains. Your role will involve contributing to a multidisciplinary team focused on designing and testing integrated circuits for signal processing applications, developing custom hardware components, and analyzing existing hardware and firmware. Responsibilities

• Design and test integrated circuits and hardware components for signal processing applications.
• Assist with designing new products and processes, improving and maintaining existing ones.
• Communicate with engineering personnel to coordinate design activities and ensure project completion.
• Conduct design analysis to ensure cost efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability.
• Apply ASIC or FPGA place and route tools with various libraries to create physical implementations of designs.
• Develop and maintain documentation for P&R design flows.
• Assist with de-processing electronic components and retrieving stored firmware or software using approved reverse engineering procedures.
• Integrate new P&R tools and ASIC / FPGA design libraries into Government’s CAD environment.
• Lead the designs of new products and improve existing processes.
• Provide technical leadership to less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Experience with PCB / SMT manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of place and route (P&R) tools for hardware design.
• Understanding of integrated circuits, ASICs, and FPGAs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for teamwork.
• Ability to work with government CAD environments and tools.

• Programming experience for automated equipment in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with specific SMT machinery and tools.
• Knowledge of quality control standards in manufacturing.
