Job Title : Specialist, Technical Accounting

As a Specialist, Technical Accounting, you will ensure the integrity of our financial reporting by applying and maintaining Newmont's accounting policies, evaluating complex transactions, researching U.S. GAAP guidance, and supporting the preparation of accurate and compliant SEC filings.

As part of our team you will :

• Lead technical accounting research for complex transactions such as M&A, divestitures, hedging, and other strategic initiatives.
• Assess and document the accounting implications of new or unusual business activities.
• Support Corp Dev, Treasury, and global regional teams with technical accounting matters.
• Monitor new accounting standards and implement required policy or process changes.
• Manage recurring technical processes, including fair value assessments, hedge programs, and pension-related activities.
• Contribute to the preparation and review of quarterly and annual SEC reporting materials.
• Help strengthen internal controls and ensure accurate integration of accounting guidance into monthly close activities.

You will join our Corporate Finance team, partnering closely with Accounting, SEC Reporting, Treasury, Corporate Development, and regional finance groups. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented role that requires strong judgment, collaboration, and the ability to support time-sensitive reporting cycles.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $108,000 - 141,750. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and / or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
