Description

We are hiring immediately for a CNC Extrusion Machine Operator.

What you will be doing as a CNC Extrusion Machine Operator :

You can expect to fabricate aircraft parts using CNC Extrusion Machines, also known as extruders. Your responsibilities include :

  • Set up and operate CNC Extrusion Machines

Review set up sheets, load cutting tools, and secure vise jaws or holding fixtures to the machine bed while monitoring operations for proper functioning

Edit programs as needed to ensure accurate fabrication

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to coordinate machine operations

    • Frequently contact to coordinate machine operations on tool proving and production parts

  • Tool Usage

    • Use hand tools (e.g. wrenches, hammers) and precision measuring instruments (e.g. scale, protractors, calipers, and micrometers) for quality control

    What you need to be successful :

  • High school education, GED, or a Bronze Level WorkKeys certification is required
  • 1-3 years sheet metal fabrication experience OR related experience including 6 months orientation on CNC and / or NC machine operators is required
