Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) invites applications for the role of Web Strategist.

The Web Strategist supports the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) website strategies and initiatives. The Web Strategist contributes to website strategies and initiatives through content development and optimization, website maintenance, digital marketing campaigns, training and education, and accessibility remediation. This position serves as a central resource for web content best practices, providing guidance to stakeholders from across the UNR Med and works closely with the senior web position within the organization. The position reports to the Lead, Marketing and Communications.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of content management systems (CMS), web accessibility standards, HTML, and SEO implementation. The ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating sound judgement, prioritization and technical communication will be integral to success in the role.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related professional experience OR

Master’s Degree and one year of related professional experience.

Related Experience : within online web strategy, experience in search engine optimization (SEO), content management systems (CMS), HTML, content planning and editorial calendars, web accessibility and web content writing / editing

Grants-in-aid for Faculty Employees

The University is proud to provide a reduced-rate tuition benefit to faculty and qualified dependents. Faculty can take up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate. Dependents of faculty have unlimited credits, but in order to be eligible children must be unmarried and under the age of 24 and must receive at least 50% of their financial support from the employee and / or employee’s spouse or domestic partner.
