We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Physician Assistant to join our team full time in Clifton NJ. The incoming Physician Assistant will be providing excellent care alongside our Orthopedic team, providing orthopedic consultations and management of orthopedic care. The Physician Assistant must have experience in Orthopedics, be a fantastic clinician and team player, who enjoys working with a dedicated team of orthopedists and staff members to provide the highest level of care. A huge plus if the incoming Physician Assistant has experience in Sports Medicine. The PA will mainly be providing clinical coverage but may be required to scrub in occasionally to cover for the other PA on staff.

Duties :

• Performs comprehensive and problem-focused MSK / Orthopedic histories and physical examinations
• Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic studies
• Diagnoses and treats orthopedic conditions and injuries and indicate if pt is a potential surgical candidate
• Offer conservative treatment measures when surgery is not indicated
• Educates and counsels patients on diagnosis, pre- and post-surgical limitations / follow up
• Documentation / SOAP notes- timely and accurate
• Collaborates with surgical team to create treatment plan for patients
• OR : First Assist Orthopedic cases occasionally as needed
• Patient management- see office patients independently while physician is in the OR if 1 st assist is not needed
• Collaboration with the supervisory physician for comprehensive patient care
