PRIMARY PURPOSE :
To facilitate the efficient operation of the Police Department office and provide clerical and bookkeeping services to the department and organizations
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Maintain Kronos for timekeeping for the Police Department.
- Responsible for all timekeeping sheets and reports including submitting to finance department.
- Responsible for all supplemental pay :
(Sergeants, Police Officers, School Marshals)
Process sheets - budget codes.Serve as back up Police Department Administrative Asst. with PO's and budget.Assist with processing purchase orders, procurement cards and reconciliations.Assist with verification of payment for security / police department at campuses and district events.Assist with processing check requisitions (accounts payables).Assist with ordering supplies for department and maintaining inventory.Assist with processing and maintaining ProCard charges (department credit card) and turn in monthly report with budget accounts assigned.Assist with processing travel requests for employee-related travel :TARS / Reimbursements
Professional development registrationsMaintain LISD Police Department's directory.Maintain LISD Police Department's inventory.Receive, sort, and distribute mail and other documents to department.Front office support when Administrative Asst. is not present.Participate in department meetings and special events as needed.Demonstrates regular and prompt attendance.Perform other duties as assigned.GENERAL QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES
Education / Certification / Experience :
Graduation from an accredited high school or GED.Experience in accounting or bookkeeping work in office setting, preferably in public education environment.Required to be a notary after hire.Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices.Skill in typing; word processing (Microsoft Word / Excel); bookkeeping; and file maintenance.Ability to use calculator (10-key by touch); use personal computer and software to develop or maintain spreadsheets and do word processing; and work with numbers in an accurate and rapid manner to meet established deadlines.Mental / Physical / Environmental Demands :
