The Position

Grid United is in a rapid growth stage, has created a purpose-built team of motivated and entrepreneurial talent, and is looking to expand the accounting department. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to roll up your sleeves and contribute to the overall mission of the organization while helping to build a world-class accounting department.

This role is based in our Houston, TX office and will report to the Accounting Manager.

• Journal Entries : Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Month-End Close : Manage the month-end close process, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Financial Reporting : Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Budgeting and Forecasting : Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Account Reconciliation : Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Internal Controls : Maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and management, to support business initiatives and provide financial insights.
• Audit Support : Assist in the preparation of audit materials and respond to auditor inquiries.
• Process Improvement : Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
