Job Summary

Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is hiring a Program Analyst (Short-Term) to provide support to the STEM Program. This position supports EMCC's STEM Center of Excellence, its Director, and STEM FOI (Field of Interest) Students. The position requires working closely and under the supervision of the STEM Director to coordinate and manage internal and outreach programs such as Animal Ambassadors and Undergraduate Research Experiences.

This position has an expected job end date of June 30, 2025.

Additional Information

This position is 100% on campus and not eligible for remote work.

Essential Functions

30% - Plans, organizes and assigns the daily work of staff; Supervises staff or federal work-study students and interns; Provides evaluations, training, and feedback; Participates in hiring, discipline, and termination as needed.

20% - Maintains thorough inventory of all supplies and equipment including establishing and following all compliance, preventative maintenance, and repair schedules necessary to ensure STEM CoE functioning; Coordinates internal and outreach events supported by STEM CoE. Which may include driving as a chaperone to events.

20% - Monitors, plans and utilizes multiple budgets (grants and institutional), including coordinating all required purchases and service contracts; Analyzes data to assess program effectiveness, quality, and outcomes; recommends modifications or additions for program improvement and success.

20% - Oversees all STEM grants (Department of Education, etc.), including all required documentation to ensure compliance; Manage student recruitment, scholarships, and required reporting. In collaboration with PIs (principal investigators).

10% - As the primary STEM FOI Center of Excellence liaison, connects students with academic and personal resources including advising, mentoring, tutoring, counseling, and career services; Makes recommendations for program improvements using gathered data; Other duties as assigned commensurate to the grade level of the position.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business or public administration, or directly related field and two (2) years of full-time equivalent student services or college teaching experience, or experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs.

Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business or public administration, or directly related field and four (4) years of full-time equivalent related program management experience preferably in an educational setting.

Desired Qualifications

A. Bachelor's degree of Science in STEM subject.

B. Experience mentoring and / or managing students in an Academic setting.

C. Experience using spreadsheets to track budget and / or inventory

D. Experience working with a diverse population.

Special Working Conditions

This position may require evenings, weekends, and off-campus work

Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver's license is required; must meet minimum standards regarding driving :
