JOB DESCRIPTION :
- Performs technical functions supporting engineering activities.
- Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems Works from documentation, written or verbal instructions, schematics, rough sketches, diagrams, layouts, and plans often requiring interpretation and application of comprehensive knowledge and practical understanding of electronic theory and principles.
- Applications may include analog, digital, and / or video circuits and logic systems. Conducts testing in a development mode and determines methods or actions to correct malfunctions or design problems.
- Recommends modifications to engineering designs as necessary.
- May assist in the design, construction, test and checkout of test equipment.
- Normally assigned in areas such as development, engineering, test equipment, system checkout, fabrication, and the like. (It should be understood that this is not intended to be a detailed nor comprehensive description of any individual employee's job content. Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee.)
SCOPE :
Performs the assignments in the form of objectives with goals and process to meet goals outline.Receives some instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments.PROBLEM COMPLEXITY :
Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is resolving problems and making routine recommendations.Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.IMPACT :
Personal judgment and performance may affect the cost, schedule and quality of individual projects.Decisions or failure to achieve results may cause delays in schedules.LIAISON :
Interacts daily with supervisor, peer groups, and customers. Interaction normally involves exchanges or presentation of factual information.FREEDOM TO ACT :
Under general supervision. Normally receives no instruction on routine work, little instruction on new assignments.LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT :
