Flat Branch Home Loans’ Secondary Analyst position plays a vital role in supporting our Lock Desk, Trader(s) and Secondary Marketing Manager. This position will be responsible for preparing and summarizing daily risk reports and our daily company rate sheet(s). In addition, the Secondary Analyst provides analyses to support the management of the Secondary Marketing position including fallout, portfolio, and profitability analyses. Provides controls and reviews surrounding mortgage related trading and settlement activity
Responsibilities :
- Learning / understanding the secondary marketing objectives for the company, from a current and an overall strategic growth perspective.
- Advanced at Excel spreadsheet development for daily, weekly and monthly reporting
- Experience with the set-up and management of pricing and products in PollyEx or a similar Mortgage Product and Pricing Engine
- Previous experience in Capital Markets and / or Finance a plus but not required.
- Comfortable with problem solving / process improvement and a mindset based on curiosity and the ability to take on unfamiliar projects.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across all levels of the organization structure.
- A team-centered attitude that includes no ego and the willingness to share ideas.
- Familiarity with how the Lock Desk works and ability to step in and help when necessary.
- Developing a familiarity and expertise with Single Family 1-4 Unit, Conventional and Government mortgage products
- Produce and distribute the daily rate sheet(s)
- Confirm Trades with Broker / Dealers
- Assist in creation of GNMA Mortgage Pools
- Perform other duties as assigned
