Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. This Contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficient management of financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities :

• Process invoices with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Verify account coding and categorize expenses appropriately across multiple accounts.
• Manage payment methods such as Automated Clearing House (ACH) transfers and check runs.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline workflow and address vendor inquiries.
• Ensure timely and accurate data entry into financial systems.
• Assist with month-end closing tasks related to accounts payable.
• Monitor accounts payable aging reports and take necessary actions for overdue payments.
• Review and reconcile vendor statements to maintain financial accuracy. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high level of accuracy.
• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes and check runs.
• Solid understanding of invoice coding and account categorization.
• Effective communication skills for handling vendor and team interactions.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
