DME Respiratory Therapist – Job Summary

A DME Respiratory Therapist specializes in providing respiratory care services and equipment to patients in home or outpatient settings. This role focuses on patient education, equipment support, and collaborative care, ensuring patients receive effective respiratory therapy in non-hospital environments.

Primary Responsibilities :

Educating patients on the proper use of respiratory devices such as CPAP machines, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators.

Setting up and troubleshooting equipment , ensuring it is installed correctly and functions properly.

Conducting patient assessments and developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare providers.

Monitoring patient compliance with prescribed therapy and offering continued education to patients and their families.

Collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal respiratory care and to support the ongoing management of patient treatment.

Qualifications : Education :

Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist
