How You’ll Make an Impact :
As a Senior Insights Manager , you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients and brands, partnering with all our practice areas. You will have experience and proven capabilities in uncovering consumer insights based on deep human understanding, analytical know-how, trends, and social truths / values, and then bringing those insights to life to influence management into action.
Primary Areas of Responsibility :
Consulting :
- Frame the client’s business challenges in a strategically relevant and solvable manner
- Support proposals with creative research solutions to win new business
- Present key insights in a compelling, persuasive fashion
Project d elivery :
Lead and / or conduct key phases of project workDevelop project work plans and timelinesIndependently own work streams and manage timelines and deliverablesCreate client deliverables, including PowerPoint presentations, relevant frameworks, and consumer stories via visuals, etc.Client m anagement :
Engage with clients, including senior executivesBe a key participant in client meetingsSupport client questions / follow-up as neededPractice / agency d evelopment :
Help develop, sell-in, and train internal insights methodology to differentiate SRGAssist in the development of intellectual propertyIdentify and codify new methods / toolsBe an active role model for company cultureSupport the development and mentoring of teammatesKey Success Factors :
Analytical capabilities : Proven mastery of basic research skills (questionnaire design) and multivariate techniques are needed to deliver the analytical foundation that leads to insights.Data manipulation : Exceptional skill in working with large data sets either via SAS, SPSS, Q, or other data manipulation programs.Strong storyteller : Expert ability to translate insights into succinct, compelling narratives that humanize the data, foster empathy, and inform business decisions.Business acumen : Ability to quickly formulate hypotheses to inform and create compelling insight frameworks.Brand and Innovation project experience : Ideally with large CPG clientele and / or experience in food and beverage.Passionate about learning : The reason this job is fun is you get to learn constantly while making a big impact for clients; you need a love of learning to love the job.High IQ and EQ : It is a people business, and we place tremendous value in the relationships we build with each other and clients. Minimum of 3–5 years in insights and market / consumer research, with an emphasis on quantitative methods.Ability to develop complete quantitative questionnaire based on project objectives and specifications, including screener logic, main survey, and demographic.Understanding of how and when to apply various advanced methodologies in the scope of a survey (e.g., TURF analysis, pairwise testing, MaxDiff exercises, trade-off comparison, etc.)
Proficiency developing foundational analysis plan to transform quantitative data output (e.g., in Excel, SPSS, or banners) into PowerPoint presentationProven experience getting deep consumer insights, based on human truths, values, and trendsStrong written and verbal communication skillsHigh proficiency in PowerPoint and ExcelExperience Q, SPSS or other data or stat testing programs requiredModeling experience a plus (e.g., media marketing mix, media ROI, path-to-purchase, POS analysis, etc.)Supplier / consulting / agency experience is idealBachelor’s degree with strong academic performance, Master’s degree a plusOccasional travel (10-20%) is requiredAt SRG, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
