Registered Nurse - RN - Radiation Oncology / Infusion Center - Full Time

The Registered Nurse provides direct care to patients with Hematological and Oncological diseases. Completes Admission Nursing Assessments on new and returning patients. Triages side effects of therapies, and completes routine skin and toxicity assessments, reporting all findings to the appropriate providers. Provides patients and families with education related to disease, treatment, potential adverse effects and symptom management for both Radiation and Infusion therapies. Administers chemotherapy / biotherapy, as prescribed by a provider, determines that the patient meets criteria, and verifies orders prior to administration. Provides non-oncologic infusion-related treatments to patients within the community. Documents patient interactions, assessments, advice, and responses to care in the EMR and discusses the plan with the provider. Flexes between Radiation Oncology and Infusion areas as assigned for direct patient care.

This is a full-time day (4 days a week with scheduled hours of 8 : 00am-6 : 00pm) position at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital located at 1978 Crompond Road, Cortandt Manor, upper Westchester, NY.

Preferred Criteria

• Infusion experience
• Outpatient Oncology Experience
• Knowledge of Radiation Oncology

$52.63 - $64.02 / Hourly
