Responsibilities
Provide medical nutrition therapy and evaluate effectiveness of treatments.
Assess patients for nutritional status.Provide interventions / treatments including diet therapy, counseling or specialized nutrition supplements.Collaborate with physicians, nursing and ancillary services such as speech pathology or physical therapy.Monitor tolerance and effectiveness of nutritional regimen and recommend therapy adjustments asnecessary.
Provide medical nutrition therapy and evaluate effectiveness of treatments.Provide nutrition information for the community that may include public speaking, news releases and other forms of publications.Research and take initiatives to resolve nutrition care related complaints and problems.Assist in monitoring meals including intake, diet compliance and tray accuracy.Maintain sanitation of food preparation area(s) through planned and unannounced inspections.Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration :
Dietitian / Nutritionist credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision required. A provisional license issued by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision will be accepted for a period of 12 months until the state license is issued.Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.Educator specializing in Diabetes Management preferred.Education :
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree / Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.Additional Preferences
Minimum of Bachelor level degree in NutritionRegistered Dietitian through the state of OklahomaThis position will support the Outpatient nutriation and Bariatrics programs
