Job Description
Job Description
You didn’t become a CNA to chase tasks. You did it to care for people.
But somewhere along the way, it’s become more about checklists and less about compassion. Rushed visits. Staff shortages. Being treated like you’re “just a CNA.” If you’re feeling burned out or unseen, you’re not alone—and it doesn’t have to stay that way.
At American Premier Hospice, we believe CNAs are the heart of our care. Our aides provide essential comfort and connection in the final chapter of a patient’s life. You’ll be supported, respected, and treated like the professional you are.
What You’ll Do :
Deliver personal care with dignity : bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
Provide companionship, emotional support, and a calming presence to patients and families
Observe and report changes in condition to the clinical team
Document visits accurately (we’ll train you on our simple system)
Communicate with nurses and team members to ensure quality, consistent care
Help make every visit matter—because your presence does
What You’ll Get :
Competitive pay + drive time + mileage
Flexible scheduling that respects your life outside of work
Supportive team culture—you're not just a number
Leadership that listens and backs you up in the field
Opportunity to grow your role as part of a respected, mission-driven organization
What You’ll Bring :
Active CNA certification in the state of Arizona (or compact)
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
At least 6 months of CNA experience (hospice preferred, but not required)
A calm, grounded presence and a deep respect for the people you care for
Willingness to show up for patients and families—fully present, even when it’s hard
This isn’t just a job. It’s a calling. If you want to be part of a hospice team that values your work, your input, and your well-being, we’d love to meet you.
