Lead Custodian

The Humane Society of Missouri is in search of a seasoned custodian to assist in upholding the cleanliness of our adoption center. As the Lead custodian, you will play a vital role in furthering our mission by ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for both animals and visitors. We are looking for someone who is punctual, respectful, and focused on completing tasks efficiently.

In this role you will :

• Maintain tile floors through stripping, buffing, and refinishing
• Sweeps and mops all public areas, other than kennel areas
• Clean and scrub carpeted areas as needed
• Maintain the security and maintenance of equipment and tools
• Keep accurate records of work and scheduled services for equipment
• Receive, load, and unload supplies as needed
• Set up tables, chairs, and furniture for events and meetings
• May help with snow removal from sidewalk areas as needed
• Provide assistance with supply procurement
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues
• Occasionally will assist at our Maryland Heights location
