User Interface Designer

Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Amazon via Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Amazon. We are looking for a designer with strong Figma skill to support the expansion of our design systems. This designer will have a significant impact on how the design system is utilized across hundreds of internal teams, and seen by millions of our customers on our retail website. The work will involve an opportunity to work on the new AI tool. Key responsibilities :

• Design system support : Work alongside senior designers on design system library, guidelines and asset creation
• Design library maintenance : Opportunity to influence the direction of the design library by building, simplifying and maintaining our components / patterns
• Developer handoffs and spec support : Provide detailed design specifications including accessibility annotations
• Design guideline creation : Document clear and concise design guideline with key visuals of how components should be used across our site
• Audit and validate : Ensure our design system library can be plugged into different internal AI tools Qualifications :
• Advanced proficiency in Figma
• At least 5+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role
• A portfolio or samples of work
• Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
• Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques Preferred skills and experience :
• Previous experience working directly with a design system
• Ability to write clear and concise design guideline
• Experience creating interactive and animated prototypes
